We love LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Apart from its hyper-targeted filters that can supercharge your lead generation, it also comes with no limits so you can search to your heart’s content.

But, what happens if you want to chew out your list of results somewhere else or keep internal lists via spreadsheets?

In this guide, we’ll show you how to export leads from LinkedIn Sales Navigator and harness this data to build an outbound email campaign.

Sound good?

Let’s see how.

Why Would You Want to Export Your Sales Navigator List?

The main goal of LinkedIn Sales Navigator is to help you prospect.

Its removal of vanilla LinkedIn’s limits on searches and profile visibility combined with its thorough filters allow you to get definitive results.

If you’re looking to accurately match your target ideal customer profiles you shouldn’t look any further.

By the way, if you want to learn the basics of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, check out our guide.

But, here’s the thing.

It still wants to promote its in-house features such as InMail to send people a direct message – the basic Sales Navigator package limits this to 20 people a month – or you still have to connect with a prospect so that you can send them a message for free.

And, we can’t blame them.

The more they keep everything within the ecosystem, the more they can keep paying customers.

Yes, LinkedIn Sales Navigator does allow you to sync up popular CRM choices so that you can share data between both tools.

But, how about if you wanted that list to work offline or if you wanted to run another program that has no support for CRM sync.

The easiest method is still to grab that list of targeted profiles that you have.

Creating Multichannel Campaigns

One topic that we’ve talked about a lot on BAMF is multichannel campaigns.

Given how fierce competition is right now and how difficult it is to position your brand, you can’t rely on hyper-targeting alone to get the job done.

By providing a prospect with multiple touchpoints, you get to build a subtle omnipresent experience that helps them get to know you better.

Another benefit of a multichannel campaign is reinforcing your messaging. You can connect with a prospect through LinkedIn and get to know them, throw them a quick targeted ad on Facebook to remind them of your brand, and then send them a pitch through email.

This allows you to take care of a customer at each stage of their buying journey.

But, it’s not just about awareness.

A multichannel campaign allows better engagement because there are more avenues for a prospect to contact your brand.

In today’s guide, we’re going to show you how to create a multichannel campaign from LinkedIn Sales Navigator to email.

First off, we’re going to use a bada** tool so we’re going with the guys from Phantombuster.

You will want to create an account on the Phantombuster platform. They offer a great free trial option that you can play around with if you still need a little convincing, but they’re one of the best in the market right now.

Once you’ve created your account, it’s advised that you downloaded the Phantombuster extension to make sure that data can be transferred from LinkedIn to the tool.

Once you’re done installing the browser extension.

Look for the “Sales Navigator Search Export” Phantom. Click on “Use this Phantom” and it will take you to a new page.

First, off you want to connect Phantombuster to your session on LinkedIn Sales Navigator, do this by clicking the “Connect to LinkedIn” button followed by “Save”.

This will take to a new pane where you can input settings related to the action.

The default number of results is 2,500.

There are also “Advanced settings” and “Result file settings” that you can play around with.

You can just leave the advanced settings as is, don’t change this unless you know what you’re doing.

Type in a name for your spreadsheet and hit “Save”.

Once you’re done with all of this, you will be taken to a new page where you have the option to “Launch”. Once you click on this, give it a few moments and you’ll be able to pull details of the results of your search on Sales Navigator.

Your generated CSV file now has a list of all the hits from your search and you can use it however you see fit.

How to Send Emails to These Leads

Now that you’ve exported a list of your search on LinkedIn Sales Navigator, it’s time to grab their emails.

I’ve written a guide to extracting emails from LinkedIn that you can find here.

But, here’s a quick recap.

Throw your spreadsheet into Google Drive to convert it to a Google sheet, and copy the URL (make sure there’s edit access when you do so.)

Head over to Phantombuster again and look for the “LinkedIn Profile Scraper” Phantom. Click on “Connect to LinkedIn”.

Stick in the spreadsheet URL from earlier. Note: It’s advised that you remove the other details from this sheet and just leave in the profile URLs. You can add those details once you get emails generated.

Make sure you keep in mind behavior in the next panel, this will keep you from hitting your limits.

Give it a couple of moments – or run it in the next couple of days – and you’ll get a narrowed lead list with a lot of qualified data.

Make sure you put back the data that you stripped off from the LinkedIn profile URLs so that your Linked Sales Navigator export is complete with relevant data.

Pretty neat right?

What Next?

The list that you’ve just built out is powerful.

Not only does it contain a hyper-targeted list of prospects that you can reach out to, but it also contains their emails.

This opens up your outbound campaigns to a whole lot of possibilities.

Here are a few that you can easily deploy:

  • You can pre-suade prospects on Facebook using their emails through a custom audience before you connect with them on LinkedIn or send an email.
  • Emails can be sent out using mail merge to input personalizations then you can follow these up with LinkedIn connections.
  • You can do the opposite and use one of Phantombuster’s features to connect with all of these profiles on LinkedIn automatically, then follow up with a pitch email after a week or two.
  • The list can be uploaded to any CRM of your choice so that you can manage multiple campaigns and funnels.

And, this is just the start!

Takeaways

One of the most cheesy lines we’ll ever hear in outbound lead generation is “knowledge is power”.

But, they’re right.

By being able to leverage exported lists from LinkedIn Sales Navigator and enrich these entries with personal email addresses, you open your lead generation to many opportunities.

There is no way that we can compete by just using LinkedIn or email.

You need to increase your influence and make sure that you’re taking your prospects on different mediums at each stage of their buyer journey.

That’s the growth hacker way.

The only way.
